Study 2 weeks before…
- Make a plan of everything you need to study so that it’s very clear what topics need to be covered.
- Space out in smaller parts. This will help alleviate some of the stress. If you start by conquering a small task first, you may feel confident that you can move on to the next. Key is to make sure that you don’t overwhelm yourself! If overwhelmed you may start procrastinating… (read this article to learn how to overcome procrastination – identify your trigger and then use the suggested solution!)
Study 1 week before…
- Look over study materials. Don’t spend too many hours doing this. Keep it simple. You spent a great deal studying the material last week, now GO OVER the same material again.
- Find someone to study with. It’s always great to have a study buddy (is that even a word?!). Let’s face it, you’re human and you may not understand everything correctly, and may even miss out on something that needs to be studied.. So having a buddy there to study with would probably be a great resource.
How to study the night before…
- Don’t cram or study all the information at once
- Do a review
- Relax and get enough sleep
- ***KEEP IT SIMPLE!***
A few minutes before…
- Take a deep breath and stay calm
After the exam
- Don’t overthink it and move on!
